IMPRUDENCE IS a SPECULATIVE DESIGN studio THAT INVENTS THE OBJECTS OF TOMORROW
Speculative design ?
It’s a form of design questioning cultural, societal and ethical implications of emerging technologies.

Our favorite themes  ?
The body, the city, the mobility, the entertainment… We’re interested in all that defines the actual human being in society and beyond.
Can we buy it in a store ?
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to find our products in real stores. We hope they’ll inspire you to create new desirable futures.
01 augmented GARMENT
B-AR-OQUE
What is an augmented garment?

Carlings' virtual clothing flourishes in the Instagram streams of influencers. The muses modelled by Diigitals are the delight of the big brands. Facebook, Snapchat and Apple are fighting for the domination of extended reality by AR and VR.

In this world where real and virtual realms are merging, what will my clothes look like? Will it be a minimal support where we broadcast branded ad ? Will it take on other functions, indicating my mood or my path? What if he finally freed himself from his functional shackles to express a new extravagance? What if the future Karl was a 3D designer?

At first a simple display of feathers from rare animals, our "clothe" becomes a baroque collar when it is associated with the corresponding piece. These feathers of mythological animals plunge us into another dimension, where augmented reality does not rhyme with diminished world, but with poetry.
contextual ar
The next frontier of augmented reality, in addition to its portability, is the recognition of the context and the real elements around it.
02 wearables of the futur
MUTANTS
What are the archetypes of tomorrow ?

Puma’s bacteria soles adapt to the fatigue of their wearer. The Pure Move Bra from Reebok adapts its tension to the activity. This new responsiveness of the garment goes hand in hand with our search for absolute ergonomics and comfort. Our mutant’s clothes (first image) adapt to the times of the day, his shoes change from heel to flat automatically, his generative makeup reveals itself according to his needs.

The organic and lasting revolt strikes fashion head on. If transparency becomes an obligation for brands, on the other hand it hits consumers deprived of their intimacy and privacy. This double movement generated our hacker (second image), flamboyant Anonymous, wearing rare leather and furs synthesized in the laboratory and a garment returning the light, and whose silver wires jam the thermal sensors of the surveillance cameras.

generative design
Generative design is allowing to automatically create forms according the evolution of external variables and programmed behaviours.
03 organic beauty
WITCH-
-ELIUM
What’s tomorrow’s "beauty" ritual?

The book of Mona Chollet has fortunately rehabilitated the witch, figure of the assumed body reconnected with nature. What if those centuries-old rituals were to return to our daily lives? Let’s re-use our hair, nail clippings and fluids. Give them as an offering to a forest organism, genetically modified mycelium that will convert them into fungi with personalized effects for your organism. Between DIY, biome and health care, this speculative project investigates contemporary rituals and our link to organicity.

More information very soon.
mycelium
A vegetative device for fungi, it can turn into a durable biomaterial or give birth to fungi that will benefits our body like Reishi.
creative technology
Creative use of new technologies in order to create new uses, paths and devices (close to hacking).
